AS PROMISED
In Jan. of 2010 Full Throttle issued a run of Great Northern twin hoppers. As it turned out the run was short and many Dealers and customers weren't able to score on the model. So, Full Throttle promised to make a third set for those that missed out on the first two sets. And sooner than expected, HERE IT IS! Below you will find the blurb for this third 2-pk. of Great Northern Railway twin hoppers.
Here is a wonderful March Short Run ! An open 33' two-bay offset-side hopper car marked for the Great Northern Railway. The models were manufactured with great details by Bowser Mfg., painted GN red to a slight sheen inside and out, and equipped with custom Hay Bros. Garage coal loads. They sport the new Bowser Bettendorf trucks with super-gliding blackened metal wheels, and knuckle couplers, feature white printing, immaculate, tiny and clean, in several sized fonts and includes the GN "mountain goat" logo. These Full Throttle hopper cars will be sold to Dealers as 2-pks. with two different reporting numbers and there are only 30 of these 2-pks. available

WDW #3024 Great Northern (mountain goat)
New Offset-Side Twin Bay from Full Throttle
The Great Northern Railway (GN), running from Saint Paul, Minnesota to Seattle, Washington, more than 1,700 miles, was the creation of the 19th century railroad tycoon James J. Hill and was developed from the St. Paul and Pacific Railroad. The Great Northern's route was the northernmost transcontinental railroad route in the United States and was north of the Northern Pacific Railway route. The Great Northern was a privately funded transcontinental railroad, though some of its predecessor roads received land grants. In 1970 the Great Northern, together with the Northern Pacific, the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad and the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway merged to form the Burlington Northern Railroad, today part of the BNSF Railway.
